One of my favorite groups is the band Incognito. No matter what they do, I’m always down to put down my cash to get any new music they produce. Over the course of 35 years and sixteen albums, they have carried the flag for jazz-funk-soul music and have stayed true to what they do. Recently, they have released a new song for the victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal, with all proceeds from the song donated to UNICEF for humanitarian assistance. The song is called “Send Your Love” and is available for purchase at iTunes and Amazon.
In the words of the band’s leader, Jean-Paul “Bluey” Maunick, here is the reason for why the group came together to make this song:
“In response to the great tragedy suffered by the people of Nepal, we felt compelled to use our talents and resources to take immediate action by coming together to make a song for Nepal. All the funds raised will be donated to UNICEF(US) to help some of the 1.7 million children who require humanitarian assistance. UNICEF is already on the ground working to provide critical aid to children and families. The results of our effort is… Incognito “Send Your Love.” Your support will go a long way towards helping to provide basic health care, nourishment, sanitation, shelter and funds towards the clearing and rebuilding in the aftermath of this devastating earthquake. Thank you and One Love.”- Peace… Bluey – See more at: http://www.soultracks.com/first-listen-incognito-share-love#sthash.tzCtBGr9.dpuf
If you are a fan of the band, and want to hear the song, it is streaming on Soundcloud. Take a listen:
Purchase the single—either the original version or the three-track maxi-single—and donate towards a necessary cause. And as always, enjoy the music.
