According to this article from the Huffington Post, Donald Trump has been threatened via Twitter by none other than “El Chapo” (nee Joaquin Guzman). The money tweet (in Spanish, and apparently using profanity):
(Roughly translated via Google Translate: And I still f*****g make you swallow all your whores f*****g words cagaleche Guero). No I don’t know if that’s totally accurate. I took four years of Spanish in high school, but that was a long, long time ago. If I were smarter, I would have remembered those lessons and how to hold a real conversation in the language—look how useful it would be now!
The article does say that the account is unverified—meaning that it isn’t necessarily the real person behind it. Smartly, Trump is taking no chances, having called in the FBI.
I seriously doubt it is the drug lord though. Wouldn’t a twice-escaped felon have more things to worry about than getting into a twitter beef with Donald Trump?
What I will say though: this foolishness is way better than any season of The Apprentice (regular, celebrity or All-Star). I actually tried to watch the most recent season of the show. Let’s just say I didn’t even make it past the halfway mark of the season.
Besides—if you were a drug lord who wanted to go after Trump, would you really fire a warning shot via Twitter? Certainly he would have ways to try and get to him, without the use of social media.
