For those of you who have read the previous bracket update, or even the post about the Hoop Flu, you may be aware that Lisa A. from the Life Of An El Paso Woman blog and I have been engaged in a bracket challenge for the NCAA tournament. And even though the tournament isn’t complete yet, we already have a winner in our little challenge. Take a guess who came out on top; after all you have a 50/50 chance of being right. Here’s a hint: the person who lost has written a P.S. at the bottom of this post.
But if you can’t be bothered to go there (and really, you SHOULD have gone), I’ll quote the pertinent details:
P.S. Congratulations to my friend Tracy from A Joyful Process! He and I did a men’s NCAA basketball bracket and he won! Now that both of our brackets are busted because of Kansas losing, I get to post a selfie of me wearing a Duke jersey and/or cap. Tracy HATES Duke so I’m picking them. LOL.
Yeah with the whole Duke thing. The fact is, Duke was her downfall, so that’s the real reason she’s wearing Duke gear.
Anyway, as you can see we both had Kansas winning the whole thing, which kinda got derailed when Villanova rose up and defeated the tournament’s top seed. And since neither of us can score any more points (I have Oklahoma and North Carolina in the Final Four but not playing in the title game), the challenge is over. Her P.S. is just her version of waving one of these:
I promised that I would be gracious in victory, and so I would like to thank Lisa for playing along. This was a lot of fun, I thought, and I hope she had fun as well, even if she didn’t win. Perhaps next year we can do it again, and maybe we can add more bloggers to it. I think it would be a bunch of laughs watching our brackets get blown to bits while adding a little smack talk just for fun.
Now to wait for that selfie…
