A Conversation

I wanna tell you something

Is it a secret?

I wanna tell you something

Can it be repeated?

I wanna tell you something

Not now, I’m on the phone

I wanna tell you something

Why don’t you leave me alone?

I wanna tell you something

Is it bad news, I fear

I wanna tell you something

Then I don’t wanna hear.

I wanna tell you something

It’s too good to hold

I wanna tell you something

I guess I shouldn’t have told.

      1. Hey, hello Tracy. I see you had gone away for the weekend. Hope you had a great time and all rested for the week ahead. I think I mentioned that over the past year, I had flexibility in cutting out Mondays and Fridays from my work. Well, I’m enjoying the last two weeks of it. I will soon be more gainfully employedπŸ˜€ By the way, I saw on your blog that you and I have an anniversary coming up tomorrow. Do you remember? hahaha!

      2. Would that be when you and I first crossed paths? I’m thinking on the Maurice White post?

Yes, I will be relaxed and ready for the week… though I wish the weekend hadn’t gone by so fast.

      3. Well, I gave you a clue didn’t I ?- “Do you remember?” I clicked on a link somewhere and noticed that Maurice White reference. Wow – a whole year gone by!
Yeah – weekends do fly especially when you are having a good time.

  1. I like how this seems like two sides of a conversation until the last stanza, which makes me think the speaker might be talking to himself? And “I guess I shouldn’t have told” is so perfect for the ending… some things are better left unsaid. πŸ™‚
