This isn’t how I intended to return to blogging.
I’ve had at least five “I’m back” posts in my head to write for the moment I decided to start writing again. The fact is, it has been a busy summer. Much of what has been going down I will eventually get to in a real post. For now, though, this is what I’m going to come up with.
Today, had he lived so long, Michael Jackson would have turned 59 years old. And out of all the hits and songs I could have chosen, I picked this one, while he was still with his brothers. At the time, they were called The Jacksons. It is one of my favorites of theirs. It also marks something of a demarcation, as it was one of the last hit records he made with his brothers before his solo career took off with Off The Wall.
At any rate, here’s “Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground).” Enjoy it, if you can. Hopefully, the video will play for you.
Happy Birthday, Michael.
Hopefully, I’ll be back around this way sooner rather than later, with real content. Though I suppose, this IS real content. 🙂
